Little did she know – an ode

An ode in supplement to the piece of fiction I wrote called Little did she know…

Little did she know
He’d break her heart,
Little did she know
Love would tear them apart,

Little did she know
She’d cry a river for him,
Little did she know
She’d be a stranger to him,

Little did she know
He won’t be around
To hold and kiss her,
Little did she know
She’d lose the comfort
She felt when he’d caress her,

Little did she know
Their cherished moments
Would be over so soon,
Little did she know
Those gloomy clouds
Would cover her full moon,

Little did she know
What fate planned for her,
Little did she know
How much he cared for her,

Of all the things
There were to know,
She was unbeknownst to the fact
Of how little did she know…
